Pesticide spraying is a common plant protection operation in agricultural production. In the process of crop growth, spraying pesticides is the most effective way to prevent pests and diseases. This shows the importance of pesticide spraying. At present, plant protection drones have been used for pesticide spraying operations in many places, which are not only efficient and safe, but also have better control effects than manual spraying. However, the spraying effect of plant protection drones is also affected by some factors. So what are the factors that affect the spraying effect of plant protection drones?

   1. Plant protection drone spraying method

Plant protection drones use less medicine per unit area, so it is very important to spray uniformly across the board. If there is no flight control, the altitude, speed and spray volume of the plant protection drone cannot be linked, especially when the aircraft is hovering, the amount of medicine under the aircraft increases sharply, causing phytotoxicity. The uneven flight spacing will cause repeated spraying or missed spraying, which will affect the spraying effect. Therefore, it is necessary for the plant protection drone to maintain a uniform speed and a certain height as much as possible during the entire spraying operation to ensure the effect.

  2. Spraying system of plant protection drone

At present, spraying drones mainly use pressure nozzles and centrifugal nozzles. Since the flow rate of the pressure nozzle changes with the pressure in a relatively small range, the effect of controlling the flow rate according to the speed of the drone is not obvious. The centrifugal nozzle can adjust the flow according to the speed of the aircraft. However, due to the high-speed rotation of the centrifugal nozzle, the pesticide droplets are relatively thin, which is prone to drift and steaming. Therefore, it is necessary to select a suitable spraying system according to the actual situation of the user and the characteristics of the pesticide used to ensure the spraying effect.

3, the technical level of the operator

Although most plant protection drones have been installed with industrial-grade flight control systems to ensure the height and stability of the drones, the flight speed in actual operations still needs to be controlled manually, so the proficiency of the pilot's operation will also directly affect Spray effect. In addition, the pilot must have the corresponding observation and judgment ability in the actual operation process to reduce the leakage rate, re-spray rate and false spray rate in the operation.

  4. Climatic conditions during operation

Proper spray time is one of the important factors to increase the target rate in the droplets, especially under different geographical and topographical conditions.

In addition to the vortex generated by the rotorcraft itself, the temperature and wind speed during operation, the vortex generated by the friction between the airflow and the crop, etc., will also affect the distribution of fog droplets on the crop. In order to reduce the drift and volatilization of the chemical liquid, it is not suitable for operation when the atmospheric temperature exceeds 28%, the relative humidity of the air is below 60%, and the wind speed and wind force are high.
