The Sanjiangyuan region is located in the southern part of Qinghai Province in my country and is the source watershed of the Yangtze River, Yellow River and Lancang River (known as the Mekong River abroad). It is of great significance to protect the ecosystem of the Three Rivers Source Region. In recent years, the local ecological environment has also been challenged. Pastures are degraded, soil erosion and desertification are increasing.
The main hazards to Sanjiangyuan grassland are insect pests and rodent pests. Rats eat a lot of pasture and bite off the grass roots, causing the grassland to degenerate and decrease the carrying capacity. Grassland caterpillars and locusts may also erupt under appropriate conditions, threatening the growth of pastures.
In recent years, Qinghai Province has adopted drones to prevent and control grassland pests and rodents, and has achieved good results. It has been widely used in the prevention and control of grassland pests in the province.
Qinghai Xuanfei Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is the designated unit of Yushu UAV plant protection. In 2018, they implemented grassland pest control in 10,000 acres in Huangnan County and 50,000 acres in Yushu Prefecture.
In 2019, they also used the Q10 spreading system for rodent pest prevention and control, operating in Menyuan County, and achieved good prevention and control results.
